This role will pay an hourly rate of $19.00

This position will remain open until November 28, 2025.

The Facilities Division of OVG has openings on the campus of Arizona State University for the new 5,000 seat multi-purpose arena and community ice rink. The Mullet Center, a new arena opened in the Fall of 2022 and is the home of ASU Sun Devil Men’s Ice Hockey, ASU Wrestling, ASU Women's Basketball and Women’s Volleyball programs, the G-League Valley Suns, as well as variety of events, including concerts, family shows, comedy and other live events. The new community ice rink will serve as a public venue to the community and will host hockey and skating programming, youth competitions, educational opportunities and more.

• Support management to execute events, ensuring that all deliverables meet objectives, and adhere to the intended strategies, timelines, policies, and guidelines.
• Learn about pre-event planning, day-of operations, and post-event wrap-up activities.
• Understand the back of house/  administrative duties needed for event management such as uploading invoices, schedules, and reports; and responding to event inquiries via email or phone.
• Participate in departmental and building meetings as needed.
• Take on special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by the Event Manager that will assist in the growth and development of the intern.

• Acurrent college junior, senior, or graduate student pursuing a degree in Sports Management, Business, Hospitality, or a related field, is desired.
• Availability to work a flexible, events driven schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Communicate clearly and concisely in the English language, both orally and in writing is required.
• Must possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
