Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Intern to join our Procurement team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in purchasing, supplier management, and procurement operations in a dynamic business environment. The intern will assist with sourcing, contract administration, data analysis, and process improvement initiatives. The intern will both learn various procurement-related workstreams and support the teams with projects in the areas of supplier onboarding, supplier training and preparing certain internal training materials. 

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $25.00

 

This position will remain open until October 17, 2025.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions (including to but not limited to):

  • Assist in sourcing and evaluating suppliers for goods and services

  • Support the preparation of purchase orders and track delivery timelines

  • Help maintain accurate records of supplier contracts and procurement documents

  • Conduct price and cost analysis to support negotiations

  • Participate in vendor onboarding and compliance checks

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Legal, and Operations

  • Assist in maintaining procurement systems and updating supplier data

  • Support reporting and procurement analytics, including spend analysis and KPIs

  • Research market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings

  • Learn the process of onboarding new suppliers while ensuring compliance with internal controls and processes. 
  • Complete walkthroughs with various teams while supporting procurement operations and certain administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate with procurement and AP teams to streamline procurement workflows.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and any other special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Business School program with a focus on Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
  • Proactive, ambitious, and self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with ERP systems is a plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a fast-paced team
